Senior Naval Architect
 A naval architect that is able to link all disciplines together in the very early stage of a design working with a lot of parameters to play with. We are really looking for basic designers with extensive experience in arrangements

• During sales opportunities you assist with technical discussion or by providing first concept designs/solutions to the client.
• You will create a work breakdown for concept/basic engineering projects.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team in ensuring that ships designs and engineering are accurate (across hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, weight control, noise, mechanical, etc.)
• You will actively participate in research studies.
• You will perform a wide range of naval architectural calculations such as stability, propulsion, weight and strength calculations, tanks capacity etc.
• You will establish General Arrangements and technical specifications
• You will perform feasibility studies.
• You will support Design Engineers assuring compliance with class requirements and codes.
• You will Identify all technical matters in order to make the specified requirements feasible.

Profile

• You minimally have a bachelor or master degree in Naval Architecture;
• You have minimally 5 years’ experience in the shipbuilding / offshore industry.
• You have strong leadership skills and have led teams of engineers in the past;
• You have an excellent knowledge of the English language (spoken and written).
• You have European citizenship;
• You are accurate, decisive and efficient. Also you have strong communication skills;
• You are eager to learn, develop and initiate new technology/processes.
• Furthermore you are someone who gets energy of a driven atmosphere where colleagues support each other and where your own contribution is appreciated.
