HVAC Mechanic
Offering logistical, facilities maintenance, and operational support services for critical military installations and civilian agencies at a US Military Base in Powidz, Poland, the HVAC Mechanic plays a pivotal role.
Location: Powidz, Poland
Contract: 1 year, renewable

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Conducts repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings on the base.
- Keeps the supervisor informed of unique situations and problems encountered.
- Troubleshoots and locates malfunctions, diagnoses issues, and determines appropriate repairs for industrial and residential HVAC systems.
- Adjusts, repairs, or replaces thermostats, pressure stats, relays, switches, and electrical wiring.
- Repairs or replaces compressors, electric motors, fans, belts, pulleys, evaporators, condensers, and receivers.
- Works from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal and written instructions.
- Repairs various components within the HVAC system, including transformers, motors, electrodes, solenoids, rheostats, and aqua stats.
- Traces and troubleshoots control system wiring, connections, and ensures proper installation of covers and panels.
- Tests for refrigerant leaks using approved methods.
- Assists other trades and crafts personnel in their daily operations.
- Follows established safety procedures, utilizing safety protective equipment and clothing relevant to specific trades or skills.
- Observes proper housekeeping practices.
- Performs other tasks incidental to the required work as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Job Requirements, Mandatory:
- Minimum 3+ years of verifiable experience as an HVAC technician, specializing in the maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
- High school diploma.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication skills in English.
