Project: Gigafactory Construction for a Leading Battery Manufacturer

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior PRIMAVERA P6 Planner to join our dynamic team on a gigafactory construction project in Skelleftea, Sweden. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and oversight of an integrated project schedule that accurately encapsulates all project activities, durations, sequences, logic, and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the project planning procedures and ensure alignment with client standards.
  • Implement and maintain the Oracle Primavera P6 planning system throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Configure and optimize P6 for project use, ensuring compliance with activity IDs, codes, calendars, resources, WBS, and EPS structures.
  • Create detailed level 3 schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Lead planning sessions, establish baseline schedules and critical paths, and secure agreement from project stakeholders.
  • Conduct monthly schedule updates, integrate third-party schedules, and analyze deviations.
  • Develop a comprehensive progress measurement system and ensure accurate integration of contractor data.
  • Prepare impact analyses, what-if scenarios, and mitigation recommendations for schedule disruptions.
  • Communicate scheduling information clearly and proactively within the project team.
  • Support contract milestone preparations, evaluate bid schedules, and review contractor plans.
  • Contribute to monthly project reports, providing analysis on progress, earned value, schedule, and critical path metrics.
  • Participate in risk assessments, project close-out reports, and lessons learned sessions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior planners and schedulers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a planner/scheduler in large-scale construction or engineering projects.
  • Expert proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, from inception to completion.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform detailed schedule, cost, and risk analyses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Additional Information:

  • Mobilisation/Demobilisation costs will be covered separately.
  • This is a full-time position for a 12-month duration with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
