Position Overview: We are seeking a Technical Engineer - GM Assistant to support the General Manager in overseeing multiple infrastructure projects, with a focus on roads and bridges. This role will involve traveling to different project sites to provide technical insights, assist in decision-making, prepare reports, and manage on-site priorities. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of engineering experience, preferably within the civil infrastructure sector. Key Responsibilities:
Site Support:
Regularly travel to multiple project sites, inspect progress, and report findings to the General Manager (GM).
Assist in troubleshooting on-site technical issues related to road and bridge construction.
Act as the GM’s on-site representative to ensure smooth execution of projects according to timelines and specifications.
Decision-Making & Prioritization:
Assist the GM in prioritizing tasks and project timelines based on real-time site assessments and technical requirements.
Help the GM in making data-driven decisions by gathering and analyzing site information, project metrics, and performance indicators.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare regular progress reports, technical assessments, and recommendations for the GM.
Document key on-site observations, issues, and project status updates to facilitate effective communication between the GM and other project stakeholders.
Ensure that all technical documentation, drawings, and reports are accurate and up to date.
Coordination & Communication:
Act as a liaison between the General Manager and site engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that technical standards are met and project objectives are aligned with the GM’s vision.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in civil engineering, project management
Experience working in a construction site environment is preferred.
Strong English language skills
