Junior Welding Engineer for Pipe Production – Giurgiu

Location: Giurgiu

The welding engineer in a pipe production factory is responsible for overseeing the welding process and ensuring the quality of the welded joints, contributing to the manufacture of durable and safe pipes. This role is key in implementing and monitoring welding processes to meet quality and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing welding procedures, considering material type, pipe thickness, and technical requirements.
• Supervising the welding team to ensure operations comply with quality and safety standards.
• Inspecting welded joints, performing non-destructive tests (NDT), and identifying potential defects.
• Adhering to industry-specific quality standards (e.g., ASME, ISO) and client requirements.
• Selecting the most appropriate welding methods (MIG, TIG, manual welding) and consumables (electrodes, wire) according to project specifications.
• Maintaining and calibrating welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborating with the design team to ensure the structural integrity and reliability of final products.
• Continuously improving production methods to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Preparing and maintaining documentation related to welding procedures, inspection reports, and necessary certifications.
• Coordinating with other departments (production, quality assurance, engineering) to align technical and production goals.
• Training welders and technical staff in welding techniques and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Higher education in mechanical engineering or welding engineering.
• Welding certifications (e.g., IWE - International Welding Engineer) are an advantage.
• Technical skills and knowledge in non-destructive testing and inspections.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
