Conduct thorough global structural assessments of ships;
Analyze and understand the implications on both longitudinal and transverse strength ensuring the structural integrity of the vessel;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to feasibility studies;
Perform detailed calculations manually and using specialized software to assess the strength of ship structures;
Address various structural requests, including but not limited to heavy equipment positioning on offshore ship decks, sea-fastenings calculations, and global/local assessments for conversions;
Ensure that all structural designs and assessments adhere to applicable rules and regulations.
Profile
Technical knowledge & soft skills:
You have at least a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering;
You are a Structural Analyst with 2 years of relevant experience in calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in the shipbuilding/offshore industry;
You are familiar with structural and FEA software, such as ANSYS Workbench, MARS, or STEEL;
Knowledge of the rules of classification societies (Lloyds, BV, DNV);
You have excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
