Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Control Room Manager to oversee the control room operations of a Gas-Power Plant. The ideal candidate will ensure real-time monitoring, coordination, and control of plant processes to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to respond swiftly to operational changes and emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all activities in the control room to ensure continuous plant operation.
Monitor plant systems and performance indicators to detect and respond to anomalies.
Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with field operators, maintenance, and engineering teams for smooth operations.
Lead shift teams and ensure proper handover and documentation of operational events.
Respond to alarms and emergencies, initiating corrective actions as needed.
Maintain accurate logs and reports of plant performance and incidents.
Support the Plant Manager in implementing operational strategies and improvements.
Train and mentor control room operators to ensure high performance and safety awareness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of experience in power plant operations, with at least 3 years in a control room supervisory role.
Strong understanding of thermal or combined-cycle power plant processes.
Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems and plant automation technologies.
Excellent decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
Fluency in English and Romanian is required.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CMMS and operational reporting tools.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Emergency response training or certification is a plus.
