Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead the operations and maintenance of a Gas-Power Plant. The ideal candidate will ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards. This leadership role requires a strong background in power generation, team management, and strategic planning.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Gas-Power Plant, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams including operations, maintenance, and engineering staff.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize plant efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with Romanian and EU environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Monitor plant performance metrics and initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage plant budgets, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with corporate and regional teams on reporting, audits, and strategic planning.
- Lead emergency response and crisis management procedures.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in power plant operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale thermal or combined-cycle power plants.
- Strong knowledge of Romanian energy regulations and international O&M standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Romanian is required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
