Project: 1,700 MW Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant
Once commissioned, it will be among the largest and most efficient CCGT power plants in Eastern Europe, supporting decarbonization goals and sustainable energy production.


Role Overview
The Deputy for Power Sector will support the commercial management and trading strategy for the Power Division, focusing on electricity market operations, optimization of production output, and portfolio management. The role requires a professional with solid expertise in electricity trading, market analysis, and regulatory frameworks, as well as strong coordination skills between operational and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head of Commercial in developing and implementing the power trading strategy.
• Manage daily and long-term trading activities on OPCOM and other relevant energy markets.
• Monitor and analyze electricity market prices, volumes, and trends to identify optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate production forecasts and dispatch strategies with the operations and planning teams.
• Ensure compliance with ANRE regulations, grid codes, and internal risk policies.
• Prepare market and performance reports to support decision-making and trading strategy reviews.
• Participate in contract negotiations related to electricity sales, PPAs, and balancing services.
• Contribute to risk management and hedging strategies for the power portfolio.
• Maintain active communication with market operators, grid authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Candidate Profile
• Education: Degree in Economics, Energy Management, or Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in electricity trading, market operations, or portfolio management.
• Excellent knowledge of the Romanian and EU power market mechanisms, OPCOM trading, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in forecasting and risk assessment.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, market-driven environment.
• Fluency in English and Romanian is required.
