Role Overview

The HSEQ Specialist / Coordinator will play a key role in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) systems and practices. The role ensures compliance with local legislation, company standards, and international regulations to maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the company’s HSEQ management systems, procedures, and policies.

• Ensure compliance with Romanian and EU health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections at sites and offices.

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.

• Deliver HSEQ training and awareness sessions to operational teams and contractors.

• Support the preparation of HSEQ documentation, reports, and performance metrics.

• Promote a strong HSEQ culture across all levels of the organization.

• Liaise with external authorities, clients, and auditors regarding HSEQ compliance.

• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of HSEQ experience in oil & gas or energy sectors.

• Solid understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.

• Proven ability to perform audits and risk assessments.

• Strong communication and training skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Fluency in English and Romanian (spoken and written).

• Certification in HSE (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) – an advantage.
