Role Overview

The HSE Specialist will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on-site to ensure compliance with both local regulations and company policies. The role supports the operational teams in maintaining a safe working environment and fostering a strong safety culture across all activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain site-specific HSE programs, procedures, and initiatives.

• Monitor daily site operations to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; identify and mitigate hazards.

• Provide HSE training, coaching, and guidance to site personnel and contractors.

• Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

• Maintain HSE documentation and reporting systems in line with company and legal requirements.

• Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, and management teams to promote safety and environmental awareness.

• Support emergency preparedness and response planning on site.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles within the energy, oil & gas, or industrial sectors (preferably in Operations & Maintenance or power generation).

• Strong knowledge of Romanian and EU HSE legislation and standards.

• Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.

• Certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001, or similar are considered an advantage.
  
  Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Romanian fluency required.

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
