About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Senior COMOS Specialist to join a long-term international engineering project for a well-established Austrian client operating in the Oil & Gas sector. The role offers a flexible hybrid setup, combining remote work with periodic on-site collaboration in Vienna.

Search Profile – Senior COMOS Specialist

We are looking for a professional with:

• Extensive experience in full lifecycle implementation of COMOS

• Strong background in COMOS system architecture design

• Proven experience in long-term administration of COMOS environments for industrial clients

• Solid exposure to Oil & Gas or complex industrial engineering projects

• Freelancer profile (own company / B2B collaboration preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage engineering data within COMOS

• Support plant engineering and technical documentation processes

• Create and update technical documentation, P&IDs, and equipment data

• Ensure data consistency and compliance with project standards

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary international engineering teams

• Participate in technical coordination meetings during on-site weeks in Vienna

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with COMOS in industrial or Oil & Gas environments

• Engineering background (Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical or similar)

• Strong understanding of plant documentation and engineering workflows

• Ability to work effectively in remote international teams

• Good English communication skills (German is a plus)

• Availability to travel to Vienna approximately 1 week/month
