Cost Control Quantity Surveyor – Maritime / Engineering Projects

This position is part of an international ship management and engineering environment, supporting a diverse fleet and complex technical projects. The role focuses on cost monitoring, budget control, and financial reporting within ship repair, dry dock, and engineering projects.
Job Description:
As a Cost Control Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs while ensuring financial transparency. You will work closely with technical teams, project managers, and suppliers to support efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets and financial reports.
- Perform cost control analysis and identify deviations from approved budgets.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and carry out quantity take-offs.
- Prepare and evaluate quotations from shipyards and suppliers.
- Support project teams in contract negotiations and variation management.
- Monitor project costs related to progress, change orders, claims, and final accounts.
- Advise management on cost optimization opportunities and potential risks.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in line with internal standards.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, Commercial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost control, preferably within maritime, offshore, civil, or industrial projects.
- Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of cost management processes.
- Experience with tender documentation, BOQs, and financial project reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and project reporting tools.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a technical project environment.
