Draftsman

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing technical yacht designs based on design plans. You will work on hull construction, outfitting, and exterior structures, where precision and quality are essential.

As all stages of construction are carried out in-house, you will be involved in the wider yacht building process and work on highly customised projects. Depending on your experience, you may start with 2D drafting in AutoCAD, with the opportunity to develop into 3D design through an internal training programme.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings for yacht construction based on design plans
• Work on hull construction, outfitting, and exterior structures
• Support the construction process through accurate and practical design work
• Collaborate with production teams and other engineering disciplines
• Contribute to efficient project execution and build quality

You will be part of the Shipbuilding Engineering Department and work closely with production, Mechanical Engineering, and Interior Engineering.

Profile

• HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in shipbuilding engineering, or
• MBO degree in Shipbuilding Engineering with at least 5 years of experience
• Experience in construction design and shipbuilding
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Good understanding of construction and outfitting
• Analytical, practical, and solution-oriented approach
• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
