Project Manager – Permanent On-site Role

Our client is an international industrial group, active in several business divisions and with a strong presence in the aerospace industry.

The company specializes in the development and production of high-precision components such as gears, transmissions, and actuators for international aerospace clients. With operations in Europe and the USA, the organization is focused on continuous growth, high-quality products, long-term partnerships, and strong commitment to customer projects. 

We are looking for a Project Manager to manage customer projects and internal projects, including CAPEX and operational improvement initiatives, within an international Project Management Organization.

The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project scope, planning, execution, budgets, risks, reporting, and ensuring successful delivery according to customer and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, needs, and objectives together with internal or external customers.
• Develop project plans in cooperation with involved departments.
• Manage project execution according to the agreed plan, budget, and specifications.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams and ensure clear communication.
• Prepare status reports, forecasts, progress updates, and presentations.
• Identify risks, solve problems, and escalate unresolved issues when needed.
• Support commercial teams with RFI, RFQ, and RFP documents.
• Contribute to proposals, work breakdown structures, and statements of work.
• Coordinate resource planning and project deliverables.
• Ensure smooth project transition from sales to execution and aftercare.
• Lead, organize, motivate, and support project team members.

 

• > 5 years of previous project management experience is considered a plus;
• MS in engineering (Mechanical engineering experience is an advantage);
• Technically well-grounded  and have a hands-on mentality for Continuous Improvement & Sustainment;
• Proven experience in project management is an advantage, or motivated to develop project management skills;
• Customer oriented Project Management skills/experience. Preferred knowledge of the PMBOK® Guide (6th edition) or PMP® certified;
• Utilizes critical thinking/problem solving skills whilst being a strong multi-tasker & stress-resistant,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Good understanding in use of Microsoft’s Suite of Apps, incl MS Project;
• Excellent English skills (verbal & written) to communicate within international company & with customers;
• Able to travel internationally and regionally approx. 10% of your time normally, with peaks of up to 50% in busy periods.
