Critical requirements
  • Degree or solid technical background in naval architecture, marine engineering, shipbuilding, or closely related discipline.
  • Experience in engineering, vessel design, shipbuilding, project engineering, or technical vessel support.
  • Practical understanding of how vessels are designed, built, and brought into operation.
  • Ability to read and challenge technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Strong issue-management skills: identify problems, structure evidence, follow up actions, and close items properly.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Right to work in the EU

Important requirements
 
  • Design follow-up during production phase.
  • Identification of recurring or critical design issues during build, integration, or delivery.
  • Root-cause analysis and impact assessment on production, vessel performance, maintainability, and vessel management.
  • Coordination with engineering, production, yard, and stakeholder teams.
  • Clear audit trail for design issues, decisions, corrective actions, and close-out status.
  • Verification that improvements are implemented across remaining vessels in the series.

Nice-to-have requirements
  • Experience with offshore support vessels, CSOVs, SOVs, OSVs, or similar maritime assets.
  • Yard, production, commissioning, or vessel delivery experience.
  • Familiarity with class requirements, marine systems, vessel interfaces, or technical documentation control.
  • Interest in moving into vessel management after the assignment.
