For a specialized shipyard focused on the construction and refit of work vessels, naval vessels, tugboats, and cable-laying ships, we are looking for a hands-on Project Manager Shipbuilding.
In this role, you will work on a project basis within a dynamic shipyard environment, where you will have a direct impact on the realization of complex maritime projects.
Role Description
As Project Manager, you are responsible for the full execution and coordination of shipbuilding projects on-site. You operate independently while working closely with internal teams such as engineering, production, and procurement.
You are a true hands-on professional: present on the work floor, quick to adapt, and actively steering projects to achieve objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and adjust project schedules
- Monitor project budgets and control costs
- Coordinate procurement activities and manage suppliers
- Lead multidisciplinary teams within the shipyard
- Monitor and ensure project quality and progress
- Identify and manage risks and deviations
- Report to stakeholders and the client
- Maintain hands-on involvement in on-site execution
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO), preferably in Shipbuilding or Maritime Engineering
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in shipbuilding projects
- Strong skills in planning, budgeting, quality control, and procurement
- Hands-on mentality with experience in a shipyard environment
- Independent, proactive, and results-driven
- Good command of the English language
- A valid EU work permit is required for this position. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the Netherlands.
