Job title: Site Engineer AC Substation
Vlissingen / Schiedam Netherlands

Core discipline: Electrical / Electromechanical site engineering, construction support, outfitting, quality and engineering interface
Seniority level: Minimum 2 years relevant experience; role requires strong site ownership and coordination
Sector focus: Offshore energy / offshore high-voltage grid / AC substation modules / topside outfitting / EPC yard construction

Critical requirements:
 
  • Engineering background in Electrical and/or Electromechanical.
  • Experience with multiple disciplines on site.
  • Able to act as SPOC for engineering queries, mainly electromechanical.
  • Able to support Construction Manager with site team coordination and EPC contractor interaction.
  • Safety and quality mindset.
  • Strong reporting and document management skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Full-time onsite availability: 5 days/week, minimum 8 hours/day in Schiedam and/or Vlissingen.
  • VCA VOL/SCC supervisor certificate.
  • Own PPE.
  • Work eligibility is not a blocking factor for this comparison, based on the project instruction file stating every profile added has legal right to work in the countries named in the vacancy.

Important requirements:
 
  • Experience with Quality Control/Assurance on a construction site.
  • Experience with inspections, ITPs, non-conformities and quality processes.
  • Experience in offshore sector.
  • Experience with topside outfitting.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Ability to prepare structured weekly/monthly reports.
  • Ability to coordinate vendors and inspectors.
  • Ability to review contractor documentation.
  • Knowledge of Aconex.

Nice-to-have requirements:
  • Dutch language.
  • Offshore wind / energy island / AC substation module experience.
  • Experience with EPC yards in the Netherlands or Belgium.
  • Direct HV electrical/substation experience.
