For its manufacturing operations in Iași, Romania, we are currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Quality Assurance team.
The Role
The Quality Assurance Engineer will contribute to maintaining and continuously improving the company's quality management system and ensuring compliance with applicable aerospace industry standards and customer-specific quality requirements.
The role involves close collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality and other internal departments and includes responsibility for quality documentation, non-conformity management, corrective actions, inspections and customer quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality management standards, aerospace industry requirements and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Manage product and process non-conformities and support the definition, implementation and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Prepare, develop and maintain customer-required quality documentation, including PPAP, DVI and APQP documentation.
- Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Monitor product inspections, testing activities and compliance with established quality requirements.
- Support product and process quality audits within the area of responsibility.
- Participate in supplier evaluations and follow up on corrective actions related to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate and perform process capability analyses.
- Support analyses related to inspection instruments and measurement equipment.
- Apply relevant quality management methodologies, techniques and tools.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and other departments to identify quality issues and implement sustainable corrective and preventive measures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing product and process quality.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates with:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Quality / Quality Assurance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- University degree, preferably in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or another technical field.
- Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality standards.
- Experience in managing non-conformities, root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Knowledge and/or practical experience with PPAP, DVI and APQP.
- Previous experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of quality assurance processes, inspections and quality documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Production, Engineering, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry or in another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with aerospace-specific quality requirements and standards.
- Experience with product/process audits and supplier quality activities.
- Knowledge of process capability analysis and measurement/inspection systems.
