About the Project
Our client is a leading international organization delivering a major pharmaceutical construction project in the Antwerp area. The project involves a complex, multidisciplinary construction programme requiring detailed planning, scheduling and progress control, with construction activities expected to continue through 2029.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Scheduler / Planner with a strong background in pharmaceutical construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring the project schedule, ensuring activities are correctly sequenced and providing clear visibility of progress, critical paths and upcoming priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Prepare and coordinate the sequence of construction activities.
- Monitor project progress and perform regular schedule follow-up.
- Identify and analyse the Critical Path.
- Prepare short-term and medium-term look-ahead schedules.
- Monitor schedule deviations and identify potential delays.
- Work closely with construction management, engineering teams, contractors and subcontractors to obtain accurate progress information.
- Analyse dependencies, constraints and interfaces between project activities.
- Perform Earned Value Management / Earned Value Analysis.
- Measure actual progress against baseline schedules.
- Support forecasting and schedule recovery planning where required.
- Prepare scheduling reports, progress updates and management presentations.
- Highlight schedule risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Support project and construction management with reliable planning data for decision-making.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years of relevant planning/scheduling experience.
- Strong previous experience on pharmaceutical construction projects.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project dependencies.
- Proven experience with Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis.
- Experience preparing and managing look-ahead schedules.
- Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Ability to analyse schedule performance, delays and project risks.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Fluent English is required.
- Candidates from across the EU are welcome.
- Availability for approximately 60% site presence in the Antwerp area.
Contract
The position can be structured either through payroll employment or freelance/B2B collaboration, depending on the candidate's preference and circumstances.
